The Journal of Family Medicine, Primary Care and Community Health Indonesia (FPCHI) publishes two issues per year — in June and December. In addition to scheduled issues, accepted articles are published online as Articles in Press immediately upon acceptance, ahead of their formal issue assignment, to ensure the fastest possible dissemination of research findings.

Issue 1
June Edition
Published every June. Covers research submitted in the preceding cycle. The submission deadline for inclusion in the June issue is typically 31 March.
Issue 2
December Edition
Published every December. Covers research submitted in the preceding cycle. The submission deadline for inclusion in the December issue is typically 30 September.

Online-First and Articles in Press
Immediate Online Publication
Accepted articles are published online as Articles in Press immediately after acceptance and copyediting — before they are assigned to a formal issue. Each article receives its DOI at this stage and is fully citable.
Issue Assignment
Articles in Press are subsequently compiled into the next scheduled issue (June or December), at which point they are assigned a volume, issue number, and page range. The DOI and content remain unchanged.
Indexed Immediately
Articles in Press are immediately submitted for indexing in Google Scholar and other academic databases, maximising early discoverability and citation potential for authors without waiting for the issue publication date.
Special Issues and Supplements
FPCHI may occasionally publish special issues or supplements dedicated to a specific theme, conference proceedings, or topic of high public health relevance — such as communicable disease outbreaks, primary care reform, or health equity in Southeast Asia. Special issues are subject to the same rigorous peer review standards as regular issues. Proposals for special issues may be submitted to the editorial office at editor@fpchi.org for consideration by the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board.
