1. Copyright Policy

Author Retains Copyright

Authors retain full copyright over their published work. Upon acceptance, authors grant FPCHI a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish, reproduce, and distribute the article in all formats and media, including digital repositories and indexing databases.

Open Access Licence

All articles published in FPCHI are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence. This allows anyone to share, copy, and adapt the work, provided appropriate credit is given to the original authors and source.

No Transfer of Copyright

FPCHI does not require authors to transfer or assign copyright to the journal or publisher. Authors are free to reuse, republish, and distribute their own work without seeking permission from the journal, provided the original publication in FPCHI is cited.

Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0)

This licence permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited. Users may copy, redistribute, remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial use. Full licence details: creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0

2. What the CC BY 4.0 Licence Permits

Copy and redistribute the article in any medium or format, including social media, repositories, and educational platforms.

Adapt

Remix, transform, translate, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercially, provided attribution is given.

Commercial Use

Use the content for commercial purposes, including inclusion in textbooks, reports, or training materials, with appropriate citation.

Repository Deposit

Failure to attribute appropriately may constitute a violation of the CC BY 4.0 licence.

3. Self-Archiving and Preprint Policy

Preprint Servers

Authors are permitted to post preprint versions (prior to peer review) on recognised servers such as medRxiv, bioRxiv, SSRN, or OSF Preprints before, during, or after submission to FPCHI. Authors should disclose the preprint's existence in their cover letter.

Institutional Repositories

Authors may deposit the final published version (Version of Record) in their institutional repository or any open-access repository immediately upon publication, with a link to the original article DOI on fpchi.org.

Personal and Academic Websites

Authors may share the published article on personal websites, ResearchGate, Academia.edu, or similar academic networking platforms, provided the original publication in FPCHI is clearly cited with the DOI link.

4. Third-Party Content and Permissions

Author Responsibility for Third-Party Material

Authors are solely responsible for obtaining written permission from copyright holders for any third-party material (figures, tables, images, or extended quotations) included in their manuscript that is not their own original work or is not covered by an open licence. Evidence of permission must be provided at the time of submission. FPCHI accepts no liability for copyright infringement arising from the inclusion of third-party material in published articles.

Use of Open-Licence Material

Material available under Creative Commons or other open licences may be used in accordance with the terms of those licences. Authors must clearly indicate the source, original author(s), and the specific licence applicable to any such material used in their manuscript.
