The Journal of Family Medicine, Primary Care and Community Health Indonesia (FPCHI) is a fully open-access journal. All articles published in FPCHI are immediately and permanently freely available online to everyone — readers, researchers, clinicians, and policymakers — at no cost and without any registration requirement.

2. Open Access Model
Gold Open Access
FPCHI operates under the Gold Open Access model. The Version of Record (VoR) — the final, peer-reviewed, copyedited and typeset version — is published immediately in open access upon acceptance, without any embargo.

Authors are also fully permitted to self-archive any version of their manuscript — including the final published PDF — in institutional repositories, preprint servers, or personal websites. No embargo period applies. See the Content Ownership Policy for full details.
3. Article Processing Charges (APC)
No Article Processing Charges (APC)
FPCHI does not charge authors any article processing fees, submission fees, or page charges. Publication in FPCHI is completely free of charge for authors at all stages — from submission through to publication. There are no hidden fees.
The journal's open-access publication costs are covered through institutional support and the commitment of volunteer editors and reviewers. FPCHI is a community-driven journal dedicated to making primary care and family medicine research freely accessible to all — particularly to researchers and readers in low- and middle-income countries who may lack access to institutional subscriptions.

5. Digital Preservation and Archiving
DOI Registration
Every published article is assigned a permanent Digital Object Identifier (DOI) via Crossref, ensuring long-term citability and stable linking regardless of any future website changes.
PKP Preservation Network
FPCHI participates in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), which provides decentralised, long-term digital preservation of journal content independent of the journal's own server.
Metadata Indexing
Article metadata is deposited with Crossref, Google Scholar, and other indexing services to maximise discoverability and ensure articles can be found independently of the FPCHI website.
Author Self-Archiving
Authors are encouraged to deposit their published articles in institutional repositories, PubMed Central, or subject-specific archives immediately upon publication to further ensure long-term access.
